What we collect
When you use Cambrian Lab, we collect only what is necessary to provide the service:
- Account information (email, name) when you sign up
- Prompts and labeled examples you submit for evolution
- Usage metadata (number of evolutions, timestamps)
What we do NOT collect or store
- Your API keys. Keys are stored locally in your browser and sent directly to your LLM provider. We never see, log, or store them on our servers.
- Your inference results. When your prompts run against your LLM provider, the traffic goes directly between your browser and the provider.
How we use your data
Your prompts and examples are used exclusively to run the evolution process you requested. We do not use your data to train models, sell to third parties, or share with anyone outside your account.
Data retention
Evolution job data (prompts, results, lineage) is retained for 90 days after completion, or until you delete it from your workspace. Account data is retained until you request deletion.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services to operate Cambrian Lab:
- Vercel (hosting)
- Upstash (job state persistence)
- Inngest (background job processing)
- Your chosen LLM provider (inference, via your own API key)
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
